Wendy Erichsen

Inspired by Patrick Nagel in 1988, my work reflects his style as well as creating my own.  He’s been a big inspiration to my growth as a painter and my style has evolved from his. I’ve been drawing ever since I can remember and began painting in high school. I also enjoy using color pencil and have recently been experimenting with pastels.  With my love of cars, I usually use color pencils.  I’m also a big comic book fan, especially Batman, and also enjoy drawing my favorite comic book heroes.

I was born in Manhattan, KS, and attended Johnson County Community College where I studied graphic design, receiving my Associates of Applied Science degree. I now live in Olathe, KS.  Drawing and painting have always been a hobby of mine and has given me great joy.  I hope to give that joy to others.
